Today was a horrible day. Nothing but complaint after complaint. I’ve got home (after dealing with massive train delays!), had my dinner, a nice relaxing bath, and I think I may go straight to bed once I’ve spoken to Daniel.
For the past few weeks Daniel has had nothing but problems with the company fixing his computer. so much, we wrote a lovely letter to them. we’ve now found out that despite taking the money, and telling us the computer was fixed, and ready to be sent back, it’s not. instead, it’s waiting for the part they said they’d fixed. so for the last few days, i’ve been mega stressed with work. tomorrow I am looking forward to venting my anger in another letter to this silly company.
I may call them tomorrow too, and have another go (which is what I did on Monday or Tuesday.)
i’m very tired.
time to pack my bag and get ready for bed me thinks.
yikes it’s early!
and surprisingly my head doesn’t hurt. woo!
pity it’s a weekday and I have to go to work.
well I’m at home again today. still ill and drugged up to the eyeballs with painkillers, which don’t seem to be doing much.
It’s back to work tomorrow. I don’t care if the stupid lump is still on my throat. I cannot take another day of doing nothing.
the good news is that my gums aren’t swollen anymore, although I do get a massive headache whenever I sit up, and I feel faint which isn’t so good.
hopefully that will pass.
Daniel and I are thinking of going on holiday, although we don’t know where. We’ve thought about Edinburgh, Dublin, Rome. so far we’re not sure. Daniel wants to go somewhere where they speak English. I want to go somewhere a bit warm and sunny. it’s not going to be until April next year, so I guess we have plenty of time.
It’d be nice to get a way for a while, get away and have fun. just the two of us.
well I guess it’s back to watching crappy ole tv now.
over and out.
At the moment, I’m laying in bed, feeling sorry for myself and feeling oh so shit.
My gums are still swollen, and my lymph nodes are swollen and painful.
I nearly passed out on the train into work this morning, so when I got to Charing Cross, I walked to Soho and saw a nurse at the Walkin Centre.
Aparantly my lymph nodes are acting up because of an infection in my body. My tonsils are fine, my chest is fine, everywhere else is fine, except my gum. Which is still a bit swollen. The nurse has put me on a 7 day course of antibiotics. (argh) and I have to see a dentist now, as she suspects that it is an abscess. oh joy!
I have dentist on Friday, so we’ll see then i suppose. I guess they’ll have to take x-rays and that should be fun, seeing as I have a tiny mouth, and last time i had xrays done, it was a challenge even using the kiddies xray films.
I don’t even know what kind of treatment I’ll need if it’s an abscess.
I’m thinking I might stick Pride and Prejudice in teh DVD player and sink under the duvet.
over and out.
So I haven’t blogged in a while. about a week or so I guess. At the moment I’m sitting/laying in bed, watching Ella Enchanted, with very swollen painful glands. My gums are swollen too, which leads me to believe I have contracted yet another infection. oh yay.
I got my order form for the Witchfest Yule Ball today. I don’t think Daniel will want to go, so I think I might give it a miss. Maybe next year. maybe.
so what’s new with me?
On Wednesday Daniel took Sophie and I to see the Lion King in the West End. It was really really good. I totally enjoyed myself. We met in Starbucks on the Strand, and the blond woman who served me was awful. She spoke hardly any English, and I had to explain to her that my panini was meant to go on the grill before being served. Silly lady.
Thursdays – I can’t really remember what I did.
Friday – Daniel came round to my house for the first time. I was really nervous. My mum cooked us dinner (not people pie to Daniel’s relief…) We spent Friday evening watching tv and what not. And then I basically played good host for Saturday. Normally when I’m at Daniel’s house, he’s waits on me hand and foot, so now it was my turn. 🙂
We watched Rose Red (well the first half). It’s a great film. Shit scary, but really good.
Sunday we went to Daniels, and went to GBK. It was ok. I must say I prefer Ultimate Burger. At GBK they put herbs and crap in the garlic mayo – they had lemon grass in it. not so nice. the chili mayo was yum yum yum though.
I started to watch Schindlers list yesterday evening, but Daniel was doing Uni work and missed the first bit, so I stopped watching it. Daniel wants to see it, so I think I may buy it. 🙂
Today it was back to work. feels like it should be Tuesday, but it’s not. a bit odd.
I’m going to start my world domination game with Daniel now.
over and out.
First things first – the weekend. Was excellent.
Friday was Daniel’s leaving drink. Very funny. Daniel, Till and Drew dancing – hilarious! Betting on the Buses. Great fun all in all I feel. I will be putting photo’s and video’s on facebook, so please do have a look!
Saturday – I spent the whole day in bed I believe. I was so tired. I did promise Daniel I would watch Evil Dead. Started to watch it and I fell asleep! Felt very bad about that. 🙁
Sunday – just lazed about. Daniel’s mum did a lovely breakfast, and Tash and Alan made a really scrummy roast dinner.
Monday back to work today.
Right Mondays – and the rant begins.
Ready? Set? GO!!!
The world is going to end on a Monday. Monday’s are generally bad for most people, I normally don’t have issues with Mondays but today has been totally shit so far, and it’s only reached 1 p.m. in the day. I still have 4 hours to go.
The IT department seem to be making my job so much harder. I sent a query to IT asking if someone changes data on their account with us, is a notification email sent to the CSM, only to receive back “this is not an IT issue, please speak to your manager”. Firstly, from my understanding this is an IT query. I am simply asking if we change data does a notification get sent out. Surely IT create the system, so they should know. Secondly, I am the manager of my department, my line manager is the Head of our Client Services Operations Department….if IT don’t know the answer, I don’t think she’s going to know, she didn’t build the bloody system.
I have to do a presentation next Monday to our new employee’s about our department. So using my initiative (apparently this isn’t built into most people now-a days, perhaps more research should be put into gene therapy to see why this gene isn’t included in the DNA helix!) I thought it would be good to do a presentation on this….chances are they are more likely to retain the information I tell them. So I used to have PowerPoint upstairs, and WAHLA! Now I don’t. So I email IT, asking can I please have this application re-installed, and stating the reasons I need it, to be told by the IT director no. I tell you what. Why don’t you do my presentation next Monday.
Right now I am like PMT lady with a shotgun and hell bent on blowing anyone up who pisses me off. Hopefully this will subside as the day goes on (already eaten shit loads of chocolate!). Poor Daniel, he needs to write a complaint letter to Mesh (the manufacture place for his PC). I really wish he would let me do it, so I can vent my anger.
